Joe Limer is a hard rhymer. If you caught either of the last two Full Moon Poetry Slams at La Paloma, then you already know of Joe’s graceful delivery skills which earned him consecutive first place finishes. Joe can be seen nearly every 2nd and 4th Thursday as he shares his skills at the Glassless Minds open mic (805 South Tremont St). Need we mention Joe is a Professor of Poli-Sci at Palomar College, where he blends his buttery linguistic technique with his wisdom. This often results in the arrival of Joe’s own personal cheering squad of students at readings.
So c’mon out to Ducky Waddle’s (414 N Coast Hwy 101) at 7 PM to share your poetry and hear Limer connect the back ends of words with fluid steez.
Right after the Ruckus, head north…
Starting around 9:30 PM, So*Cal Vibes will bring their unique dancehall reggae stylings to Bar Leucadian (1542 N Coast Hwy 101). This sweet new local band has members who have toured with some of the hottest reggae and ska acts on the planet earth. Ever heard of Slightly Stoopid, the English Beat or Eek-A-Mouse? You’d have to be slightly laaame to miss this show!
….feel the So*Cal Vibes…
IRIE!
Joe Limer says to his students that he is a practicing “Criminal Defense Attorney”. Unfortunately Joe, you are not licensed to practice law (enter Joe’s name and see- http://members.calbar.ca.gov/fal/MemberSearch/QuickSearch)
