Here’s some cool stuff that caught our eyes recently…

Tonight at the Casbah (2501 Kettner Blvd), Mattson 2 will share the stage with two other awesome bands: Kut U Up and Shake Before Us.

Kut U Up is a rad Encinitas punk rock band that has been playing together for over a decade and features Jared and Jonathan’s older brother, Micah Mattson on guitar.

Shake Before Us blend modern and sixties rock together into a delicious groove shake. Check out a video that Broken Bridge Collective put together with them recently:

With $7 tickets you can’t afford to miss this show. The Mattson 2 absolutely killed it at their last Casbah performance and are promising new songs tonight.

This Thursday night will be the second installment of the San Diego Italian Film Festival at La Paloma Theater (471 S Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas).

If your thirst for Italian culture extends past pizza and Jersey Shore reruns, we recommend that you catch Immaturi (The Immature) by Paolo Genoves this Thursday night at 7 PM. This rom-com has a plot line reminiscent of the Big Chill. Dig the trailer…I sure hope there’s subtitles…
