It’s official: Todd’s vegetable oil bus is back in town and he’s ready to rock out for the people of Encinitas! We, the Ruthless Hippies, in conjunction with Leucadia 101 Main Street Association are proud to present a concert at Encinitas Library (540 Cornish Dr): Todd Day Wait’s Pigpen and the Wigbillies on Sunday July 21st 6-8 PM! $10 at the door supports the musicians!
Todd Day Wait’s Pigpen sounds like this…
And even though they travel all over the US…
Todd and his pigpen love playing for San Diego.
Also on the bill is Mary Fleener and husband Paul Therrio’s folk group, the Wigbillies. Like Todd Day Wait’s Pigpen, the Wigbillies dive deep into folk and americana traditions to create new sounds with an old time feel.
Mary is also a renowned visual artist whose work will be on display in the Encinitas Community Room where the concert is being held. It’s part of an exhibit called “Living Lowbrow” and features many other great local artists.
Yehaw! 2 of my favorite groups!
The Pigpen was on fire. Todd Day Wait pickin’ and singin’ with the three other fantastic musicians was a night I’ll remember for a long time.
