Wednesday 2/29 will be our next Poetry Ruckus at Ducky Waddle’s Emporium (414 N Coast Hwy 101) and I am pleased to have Sharon Elise as our guest. See more about the Ruckus in our last post. Now for what’s happening after the Ruckus…

This will be another HUGE Wednesday, so for those of you 21 and up, you are invited to head over to Bar Leucadian (1542 N Coast Hwy 101) immediately following the Ruckus to see Nicey Nice World  perform at them Ruthless Hippies’ Big Wednesdays live music series. Nicey Nice World is a super crazy funked up three piece experimental, improvisational, noise band starring some of San Diego’s most venerable veteran musicians: Joyce Rooks is on cello and vocals. Joyce has played on platinum selling records and happens to be the wife of Ducky Waddle’s store owner Jerry Waddle. Jim Call is a theremin master formerly of San Diego’s legendary punk band, the Penetrators. Marceo Radulovich is a mad scientist on the beats and has shared the stage with acts such as Tool and Ministry. Don’t miss these guys! Music starts at 9:30. No Cover!
