Ca$h Mob & Faux Original Art @ the Duck April 1st!!!

On April 1st at 7 PM we would like to get together the biggest possible group of people who love Ducky Waddle’s Emporium to show up there all at once and buy some stuff!

It’s no secret that the Duck, like most brick and mortar book stores, is struggling for its survival. And at the same time, Jerry Waddle‘s space has become more vital to the local artistic community than ever, hosting art shows, poetry events, mini-music festivals, flea markets, all ages rock concerts, book signings, lectures, writing work shops and even seminars in BDS&M (zoiks!).

Upon hearing the news that Jerry’s car broke down recently, Ruthless Hippies & Bfd Shows decided to team up and take some action to help one of our favorite spots.

In addition to all of the great art and books on sale at the Duck we’ll be having a silent auction with pieces donated by insanely talented local/global artists such as Scrojo, Ale Garza, Scott Saw, Vanessa Lemen, Jim Babwe and more! The Scrojo piece will be a ‘faux original’ Leonardo DaVinci!!!! And Jim Babwe has donated a ‘faux original’ Thomas Kinkade piece.

The auction will stay open into the following evening when Joyce Rooks performs an intimate concert as part of Taste of Leucadia (April 2nd) starting at 5:30 PM. See more info on Taste of Leucadia right here!

So come meet your fellow Duck Patrons. Enjoy music by DJ Mancat. Buy something nice and take the opportunity to bid on some great pieces of art.

The Duck also accepts donations of used books, records, art, tapes & DVD’s and  will buy or do consignment on certain items.

Oh yea and despite being on April 1st, this is not a joke so please invite your friends on this Facebook invite!
