From Wavves to TV Girl, San Diego has grown loads of successful psychedelic pop/rock groups in recent years. In our inverted Internet buzz music paradigm, a San Diego band might become popular around the world before they’ve even played enough shows to gain a large local following. Which is exactly why you should go see Inspired & Sleep play a free show at E-Street Cafe this Thursday night from 7-10PM. With a little luck, the next time you see these guys they’ll be fresh off a European tour and headlining one of SD’s big venues. Before they leave the room they might even be wearing gold plated diapers. Either way, you’re bound to dig on Inspired & the Sleep’s infectiously upbeat vibrations.
